Prayer Requests

by Heather Page Wilson-Egelston on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 1:29am

Yesterday evening about 5:30, I gave Penelope to my mom to hold so I could put on a kettle of water for tea. Mom was on her daybed watching TV. Things were going well with the baby pushing up on her elbows and working her legs trying to crawl. Paddy came in the bedroom and bounced down on to the daybed, when he did he hit Penelope’s incision site and it started leaking spinal fluid.

I called the neurosurgeon’s office and luckily I got his nurse who told me to bring her to the ER.

One of the Neuro residents put a few more stitches in the incision site, but I just checked it and it feels pretty wet so I’m guessing that the damage is on the internal stitches.

So it’s after midnight and we just got into a room. My poor baby girl, she’s finally gone to sleep.
I’m about as freaked out as a mom can be.
I’m terrified about my baby girl.
I’m terrified about my mom’s cancer.
I’m holding on to my faith, but I’m only human and I’m scared.

Please continue to pray for us-
