The Department of Homeland Security today announced details of the application and approval process for the DREAM Act-like program, outlining specific eligibility requirements and a $465 fee. It will begin Aug. 15.

Then when I saw this one my first thought was “if only she was an illegal she could get help.” What do jobless do when unemployment checks run out?
Well, apparently there are no real answers that cover everyone. My heart goes out to these people. I do know, however, that during the great depression there was also a great migration. Over the history of the USA many of the migrations that filled up this continent started when the farmland ran out and there were recessions (there were many). Why haven’t more people gone to the states where there are jobs. I know as a child we moved several times because that is where my fathers job took us. Many people have moved around whether being transferred or looking for work. Why is this not happening more now?
I do not know the answers to those questions. I know that as a Texan we have had so many move in from California that I worry the state may tilt liberal when they sign up to vote.
