Another long list of links and comments, some of which cause me to become a little bit snarky

The U.S. Department of Justice announced on Thursday that it will again seek to dismantle Texas’ voter ID law, Obama and Holder really don’t like Texas.

“Today’s action marks another step forward in the Justice Department’s continuing effort to protect the voting rights of all eligible Americans,” U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement about the voter ID provision. “We will not allow the Supreme Court’s recent decision to be interpreted as open season for states to pursue measures that suppress voting rights.”

After all, we already knew Holder and Obama thought they were above the laws and that includes the Supreme Court.

Russian officials this week carried out a secret inspection of the U.S. strategic missile defense base in California as part of the New START arms treaty, according to Obama administration officials.  Thanks to Jim Little for this link.

State Sen. Dan Patrick, R-Houston, and State Board of Education member Thomas Ratliff will spar on Saturday over CSCOPE,

World War III
this also was from Jim Little  in an email and this was my reply, “I am of the opinion that history will show we’ve been in WWIII since 9/11/2001.  The liberals were too busy bashing Bush to notice.  Obama is just trying to insure that we lose.”

This is a snapshot of the Washington Post’s Most (most looked at online articles)

  1. The choice in Egypt
  2. Obama says U.S. must tread carefully in response to alleged chemical attack in Syria
  3. White House to hold closed-door session on bisexual issues next month
  4. Eugene Robinson: GOP in Fantasyland
  5. Boehner proposes ‘short-term’ bill to avert government shutdown

I think it shows a lot of what is wrong in the US today.  Look at #2, then look at #3;  Why is Obama treading carefully on a chemical attack, and why in heaven’s name is there going to be a closed door session on bisexual issues?  What relevance is there in that?  Where is it one of the nation’s greatest problems?  What a farce our government has become. Then notice #4.  I think the administration is the group in Fantasyland, the GOP may be also but they are not the ones who are supposed to be running the country.  And what can I say about Boehner #5 that I haven’t said before?  As they say in internetland AARGH!

Charles Krauthammer on the Choice in Egypt.

I saw this headline on Breitbart: Media Debate: Do We Call Manning He or She?  I say we call Manning pitiful, and I mean that in the true sense of the word. A pitiful misfit.

Rattlesnake Logic

viagra pills cheap Ovulation usually occurs in between 14-16 days before your next periods. More and more men levitra prescription online are turning to this medicine. There was a lot of foreplay that night cheap viagra india and nothing more. Smoking not only makes you impotent, from uk viagra but also causes infertility.

After the Boston bombing the news media has spent days and weeks trying to determine why these men did what they did. They want to know what America did to make these brothers so angry with us. They want to know why these men were not arrested before they did something so terrible. The media is in a tizzy about this new era of home grown radicals, and about why they could live among us and still hate us.
A Texan explains it this way:
“Here in west Texas I have rattlesnakes on my place, living among us.  I have killed a rattlesnake on the front porch.  I have killed a rattlesnake on the back porch.  I have killed rattlesnakes in the barn, in the shop and on the driveway.  In fact, I kill every rattlesnake I encounter.
I kill rattlesnakes because I know a rattlesnake will bite me and inject me with poison.  I don’t stop to wonder why a rattlesnake will bite me; I know: It will bite me because it’s a rattlesnake and that’s what rattle- snakes do.  I don’t try to reason with a rattlesnake…I just kill it. I don’t try to get to know the rattlesnake better so I can find a way to live with the rattlesnakes and convince them not to bite me…I just kill them. I don’t quiz a rattlesnake to see it I can find out where the other snakes are, because (a) it won’t tell me, and (b) I already know they live on my place. So, I just kill the rattlesnake and move on to the next one.
I don’t look for ways I might be able to change the rattlesnake to a non-poisonous rat snake…I just kill it. Oh, and on occasion, I accidentally kill a rat snake because I thought it was a rattlesnake at the time. Also, I know, for every rattlesnake I kill, two more are lurking out there in the brush.  In my lifetime I will never be able to rid my place of rattlesnakes.  Do I fear them?  No!
Do I respect what they can do to me?  Yes!  And because of that respect I  give them the fair justice they deserve…I kill them….”

Maybe as a country we should start giving more thought to the fact that these jihadists’ are just like rattlesnakes, and act accordingly!
