Well, let’s see, first there was the blame Bush crisis he started with, the financial crisis; then there was…. Wait, there are too many to count, too many to remember from way back when. Why is this man still president? Have the chickens finally come home to roost?
We now have Putin, the one who no longer had power, (remember that?), threatening to take action if Obama takes action. And believe me it would be Obama using “His Military,” but it would be our troops, our planes, our ships, our money, our lives at stake.
We have a Congress that may or may not vote “NO” to action in Syria, and he says he may or may not need congressional approval. Or even if he gets it he may do nothing, or if he doesn’t get it he may do something anyway. It really doesn’t make one all enthused to support this man because you have no idea what you are supporting. But yes, some of us do know what he is, we have known all along and Clint Eastwood portrayed it very well at the Republican convention when he brought out the Empty Chair. What a fitting symbol of our president.
My readers know how I love Victor Davis Hanson, so you won’t be surprised when I tell you to read this: If It Wasn’t Syria, It Would Have Been Something Else. Dr. Hanson always says it much better than I can with a lot more authority.
