Thoughts on the Obamacare fiasco and other links and comments

There is so much to say about the healthcare “problems” and most of it has already been said by others.  However, for bloggers who don’t like it, it is the gift that keeps on giving.  One stumble after the other and everyone can see it in its full socialist glory. And most of those who see it with their eyes opened for the first time DO NOT like it.  As for the others, well it just makes you wonder.

The first news reports focused on the website and its problems.  Then as more days went by and more and more people had their insurance cancelled they began to focus on the real problems.  I confess, I do not know ALL the real problems. I know a lot of them. I am not an economist or a health care provider, just a consumer, so I do not know what all is going to show up down the line. What I know is normal people want to pick their own doctors, hospitals, treatments and their insurance provider and in the main and in the long haul this healthcare law does not allow that.

Today the president spoke of making the insurance companies take back their customers whose policies were cancelled and offer them the same or new.  Can he do that? Does he have the legal authority? Remember that is, as many said when Ted Cruz wanted to defund it, settled law the law of the land.  Does a president have the power to delay or change that?  I think not.  This time I think Congress will sit up and take notice, remember they have a say in it, and do the right thing, or face explusion in the next election.

“ZEKE EMANUEL REVEALS OBAMACARE’S ORIGINAL SIN: “We needed a CEO who understood.” Yeah, but we elected a community organizer”.  That quote is from Instapundit but they are definitely words I have uttered more than once.  A community organizer is an individual who at one time was considered by many as a “rabble rouser.”  It’s really hard to run a country with that as your background.
