Links and Comments, Sept. 6 & 7, 2014

We knew this but now we have proof.  Elijah Cummings was definitely one of those behind the IRS investigations of conservatives. New IRS emails released by the House Oversight Committee show staff working for Democratic Ranking Member Elijah Cummings communicated with the IRS multiple times between 2012 and 2013 about voter fraud prevention group True the Vote. [….]  Rep. Cummings has described the investigation into IRS targeting of conservative groups as a “witch hunt,” and has tried multiple times to put the investigation on hold.

The Democratic Senate Panel finds no political bias in IRS Scandal this would be my comedic link but it is just sad, not funny.

Okay, we know suppress the vote has many, many meanings and ways.  Now the New Republic says that Kansas Republicans are suppressing the vote because the candidate who wants to quit cannot legally remove his name from the ballot. Read the convoluted way this author gets to that point.  (it is as convoluted at the sentences I just wrote)

Jack the Ripper is back in the news-  DNA to the rescue, no getting around the DNA.

Chris Cillizza on How President Obama Mishandled Immigration,  I can think of a number of ways not mentioned in the article.  This is part of the mishandling he refers to White House to Delay Move Decision on Deportations.  Supposedly Hispanic Activists are Enraged.  And Buzzfeed purports to have the Inside Story on the delay decision. And just to pile on to the Obama bashing Politico says Obama has no one to blame but himself.

Is he or isn’t he alive?  The head of ISIS has been reported killed.

Good Point- If you believe in evolution, then don’t worry about climate change.  From a creationist who believes humans are responsible or partially responsible for climate change. I find it strange a creationist would think man is capable of creating climate change.
