I am distressed at how the media seems to be succeeding in trashing the Trump presidency after less than a month. There were, are still are, serious problems with the last administration, the Hillary and Bill shenanigans, and now this. Text messages obtained via Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) show director Richard Cordray’s communications with Clinton donor and lobbyist Eileen Mancera And still all we are hearing is Flynn and how bad and mean Trump is for deporting illegals in a round up planned and organized before he was inaugurated.
Rueben Navarette got it right about DeVos and the teacher’s unions. Read it, this is a rare occasion.
House intel will investigate leaks, not Flynn, if this is true it is the good news of the day.
Someone broke the law to take out Flynn, Thomas Lifson says it was the CIA.
One White House official with knowledge of the conversations told me that the Russian ambassador raised the sanctions to Flynn and that Flynn responded that the Trump team would be taking office in a few weeks and would review Russia policy and sanctions. That’s neither illegal nor improper. hmmmm.
A reminder from Instapundit: YEAH, THE FLYNN RESIGNATION’S AN EMBARRASSMENT, but Obama had his failed appointments, often tinged with scandal: “There’s Chas Freeman, Sanjay Gupta, Annette Nazareth, Tom Daschle, Bill Richardson, Nancy Killefer — who am I leaving out? And there are still problems with Adolfo Carrion. But at least Ron Kirk made it through despite his tax problems. . . . Oh, yeah. Judd Gregg. And the Zinni debacle.” I don’t recall the press acting like that was the beginning of the end for Obama’s presidency.
It’s hard to admit I find anything to admire in Geraldo Rivera but this will do it, also from Instapundit, BLOWBACK: Geraldo Rivera Quits Position at Yale University Over School’s Politically Correct Name Change.
