The last time I was in the Corpus Christi store it was a complete shock to me. It looked like, and had merchandise similar to, the old and early discount stores like Gibson’s and that type. It was not the upscale store I had seen it trying to be even five years before that. I suspect the store buyers had whiplash from the constant and changing orders from headquarters. Management not knowing their costumers is what killed Sears. I believe the rise of the lower class into middle class, and middle into upper middle, and wanting better to merchandize is what killed Sears. I realize this does blame it on management, but that would negate the title as I have.
